After a whirlwind Labor Day weekend, I don't know whether to hole up with a zillion '80s movies this weekend or go out agaIn. Lie! Of course, I'm going out again. I've got all winter to petrify!

Homeless Novel Reading
Rockland Library

I thought this looked totally interesting. Book Signing and Talk by Richard Lemieux who will sign copies of Breakfast at Sally's: One Homeless Man's Inspirational Journey, his story of being homeless, written on a discarded typewriter while he was living in his minivan. Lemieux reveals who the homeless really are and how the Salvation Army transforms lives. FMI: click here

Wood fired music and live pizza

This is a local public gathering so bring your nose flute and snuggy! Another night of wood fired wonder. Bring your own instruments, booze and pizza toppings. We will be providing the pizza dough, sauce, cheese, stage and campfire! FMI: click here

Roots and Tendrils, Belfast

Musician Vanessa Torres will perform at the downtown Roots & Tendrils along with slam poets Wil Gibson and Sean McGovern-Waite. Torres' songs and performance are soulful personal portraits rooted in universal themes of compassion and hope. Her distinctive blend of authenticity and grace makes Torres' music both refreshing and inspiring.The show will start at 8 p.m., and there will be a sliding scale door charge of $5 to $10.
