In 2009, Kay's first novel, The Ghost Trap, was published by Leapfrog Press. Since then, Kay has traveled all around Ireland, Scotland, and England to collect the origin stories of folkloric creatures in libraries, shops, and from storytellers. Her latest novel, a Prohibition-era grounded fantasy, By the Dark o’ The Moon will be published by Maine Authors Publishing in the fall of 2025.
