Inspired by Irish/Scottish literature, folklore and Maine, Kay's side gig is Tonic of the Woods. She fashions miniature paper dresses from classic short stories and iconic novels as well as "Wee Folk" Irish fairy dresses  and tiny fairy furniture from forest materials gathered from the woods. She also makes literary shadowboxes featuring scenes from the lives of famous authors and tiny "Room of One's Own" writing nooks for writers. Her work can be found at local shops and craft fairs.
